Free Advance Tickets Required (Limit 4 Per Person/Email Address)

IMPORTANT INFORMATION - PLEASE READ

Ticket Limit: One order of up to 4 tickets is permitted per person/email address.

After ordering, check your inbox and junk/spam folder for an Eventbrite email.

Print out and present your unique barcoded ticket at the check-in at the train station / parking area for shuttle and picnic access. Copies of other's tickets are not valid.

Suggested Donations / Self-Support for the Picnic: Help make the Picnic a self-supported event (suggested $10 per ticketholder) and also support the ongoing general operations and maintenance of the nonprofit taxexempt Stepping Stones - a private, standalone organization - with a donation of any amount. Donations are nonfrefundable. A receipt that reads "donation" and resembles a ticket but is not valid for access will be attached with your tickets in an email from Eventbrite.

No "Day Of," "On-site," or "Walk-in" tickets are availalbe.

Cancellations/Ticket Return: If you are not using one or more tickets, please email info@steppingstones.org with your name, order number, and number of tickets you wish to return.

Free Shuttles & Free Parking: Ticketholders use the commuter lots at the Bedford Hills Train Station off 1 Railroad Avenue, Bedford Hills, NY, 10507 from Noon until 5:00 p.m. Please carpool and use the commuter lots only (avoic the lot on the other side of the tracks used by shoppers and postal customers).

Stepping Stones Shuttles must be used for ticketholder access to site. Shuttles run when full or close to capacity.

Special Needs Parking & Shuttle Stop

A small number of special needs parking spaces at the picnic site can be reserved in advance by ticketholders who are unable to ride the shuttles. To obtain a special needs parking pass for your vehicle, email your ticket order number, name, and phone number to info@steppingstones.org by Monday, May 29, 2017.

If you have a special need but can ride the shuttle, please inform your shuttle driver when boarding for special assistance and instructions regarding a special shuttle stop for persons with special needs.

Picnic Guidelines & Suggestions

Stepping Stones asks for your kind cooperation with the staff, volunteers and police regarding the following:

  • Parking and drop off/pick up of passengers or supplies is not available for any vehicles at Stepping Stones or on the neighborhood streets. With the exception of persons with special needs, commuter lots at Railroad Avenue in Bedford Hills and shuttles must be used and tickets are required for access.
  • Please do not linger on the roadside areas or entrances or neighboring properties or driveways.Volunteers will direct you uphill to access picnic. Please pack light and wear comfortable walking shoes.
  • Audio Devices - Radios and other devices that amplify sound are not permitted.
  • Restrictions - The following are not permitted: cooking/grilling equipment, candles, Sternos, fires, flying objects (drones, Frisbees, etc.), skateboards, scooters, roller skates or blades, bicycles, kites, hammocks, hoverboards, and tree climbing.
  • Photography is not permitted by the street, nearby properties, or inside buildings unless specified by staff.
  • Anonymity - In the interest of anonymity, please others for permission before taking their photo. Please refrain from photography and recording during the meeting.
  • Shuttles run when at or near capacity. Please plan accordingly. Shuttles for guests begin at the train station at 11:55 a.m. and the last run from property to station is around 4:30 p.m.
  • Animals/pets are not permitted unless they are service animals.
  • Restrooms for people with special needs are located in the Welcome Center. All others please use the portable toilets provided.
  • What to bring - Lunch, sunscreen, insect repellant, hats/visors and sunglasses, and a blanket and plastic to sit on are suggested
  • Pack In, Pack Out: Please "pack-in, pack-out" all refuse and recyclables.
  • Coffee, decaf, and tea are supplied.
  • Smoking is not permitted within 25 feet of any structures. A designated area for smokers is at the back of the picnic area. Butt receptacles are provided. Vaping is not permitted inside any of the structures.

As a stand-alone nonprofit, taxexempt organization, Stepping Stones welcomes support toward the costs of the picnic day as well as maintenance, preservation, and operations. A donation of at least $10 per attendee is suggested and appreciated.

The Stepping Stones Foundation (Stepping Stones - Historic Home of Bill & Lois Wilson) in Katonah, New York, is a standalone, nonprofit, tax-exempt organization (Federal I.D. # 13-3031164) that fosters public understanding of alcoholism and inspires recovery by preserving and sharing the historic home, archive, and legacy of Alcoholics Anonymous Cofounder Bill Wilson and Al-Anon Family Groups Cofounder Lois Wilson. The privately-run National Historic Landmark welcomes donations of any amount. Bill W. was listed in Time and Life magazines as one of the 100 influentials of the last century for his writing of the 12-Step recovery program and cofounding of A.A.  Due to Lois' work as cofounder of Al-Anon Family Groups and cofounder of The Stepping Stones Foundation, the historic site is on the NY Women's Heritage Trail.
